EFII Organisation

Currently the structure of the EFFI is only an MoU between the founder members but the scale and ambition of the challenge is such that this issue needs active participation from a large community.

During 2010 the EFII will grow the community around the Future Internet challenges as addressed by the PPP and promote an open discussion on how the challenges can be met.

The nature of the PPP is that it will be an dedicated but open call under the 7th framework programme and, as such, is open for everyone to submit proposals as they wish.

Our ambition is to ensure that there is a coherent structure to the programme and that all participants are fully aware of the need for the proposed projects to support the interdependencies between all projects in this programme and the proposers are ready to fully co-operating players in achieving the goals of the programme.

For now (January 2010) the registration of participants in this Initiative is being handled on behalf of the group by Eurescom in Germany and at this point in time it is simply for you to register your interest and to be fully informed about the activities and events related to the EFII.

There will be workshops during the first half of 2010 organised separately by the EFII and the European Commission to consult and discuss the nature of the PPP and its ambitions and we hope that there will be some significant joint workshops as well.
